Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Focus Limit ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Service provider: Focus Limit is operated by Pavel Bekoev, Individual Entrepreneur, registered in Georgia. You can reach us in the Telegram support chat: https://t.me/focuslimit_support_bot

2. Service Description

Focus Limit is a pomodoro timer and focus tracker. The unit of planning is a block of 50 minutes of focused work; each of your directions gets a budget of blocks for the week, and the app records what you actually spent, how you rated your focus quality, and what you wrote in your journal.

The Service is offered in a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Pro adds cloud sync across devices, the full journal history, the built-in AI chat, and access from external AI clients over MCP.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time. Where a change removes something you have paid for, the refund clause below applies.

3. Subscription and Payment

Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown on the pricing page in the currency of the payment method you choose; the amount charged at checkout is the authoritative one.

Payments are processed by our payment providers — we never receive or store your card details:

  • lava.top — cards issued in Russia, international cards, and PayPal
  • OxaPay — cryptocurrency, billed in USD and paid in USDT

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each paid period until you cancel it. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the period you have already paid for runs out.

We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.

4. Refunds

Money-back guarantee: you can request a full refund within 14 days of a payment if the Service does not work for you.

To request a refund:

  • Write to the support chat https://t.me/focuslimit_support_bot within 14 days of the payment
  • Include the email address the subscription was bought with
  • Refunds are processed within 5 business days
  • The money is returned to the payment method it came from

A refund may be declined in cases of abuse, fraud, or repeated refund requests for the same account.

5. Your Account and Your Data

An account is your email address, confirmed by a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox: whoever can read it can sign in.

Your data is yours. Blocks, directions, tasks, journal entries and focus-quality ratings belong to you; we claim no ownership of them and do not sell them.

Where your data lives: until you sign in, only in this device's browser cache; once you are signed in, on our server so it can sync across your devices.

You can delete the local copy at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser. To delete what is stored on the server, write to support — the contacts are at the end of this document.

Retention differs by tier: the free tier keeps the current week of your journal and prunes what is older; Pro keeps your entire history for as long as the subscription is active.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service — its code, design, texts and brand — belongs to Focus Limit and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Service without written permission. This does not restrict what you do with your own data.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe someone else's intellectual property
  • Transmit malicious code or harmful content
  • Reverse engineer, copy or resell the Service
  • Scrape or crawl the Service in an automated way
  • Share one paid account across multiple people

8. Limitation of Liability

No warranty: the Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

AI output is guidance, not advice: the built-in chat and the insights derived from your journal are generated by a language model and can be wrong. They are not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and decisions you make from them remain yours.

Liability cap: to the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your data at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these Terms. If we terminate an active subscription for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of the period.

10. Data We Collect

We collect only what the Service needs to work:

  • Account data: your email address, and the subscription status tied to it
  • Your content: blocks, directions, tasks, journal entries and focus-quality ratings — kept on the server only when you are signed in
  • Usage data: anonymous product analytics — which screens are opened, which actions are taken
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and the cookies described below

We do not collect payment card details. Those go directly to the payment provider.

11. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Service and sync it across your devices
  • To confirm your subscription and prevent fraud
  • To answer your support requests and feedback
  • To understand which features are used, and improve them
  • To meet legal obligations

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your journal to train models.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on these processors:

  • lava.top and OxaPay — payment processing
  • PostHog — product analytics
  • Resend — transactional email (sign-in codes, support replies)
  • Upstash Redis — storage for cloud sync and subscription status
  • An external large-language-model provider — powers the AI chat; it receives the part of your journal needed to answer your question

The AI chat only runs when you open it. If you never use it, none of your journal is sent to a model provider.

13. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to hold your data and settings on the device. Analytics uses its own identifier.

You can clear this at any time through your browser. Doing so signs you out and, if you never synced, removes the local copy of your data.

14. Your Rights Over Your Data

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is processed. Write to the support chat: https://t.me/focuslimit_support_bot — we answer such requests within 30 days.

15. Data Security

Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored on servers we control. We keep an append-only backup so a failure cannot silently destroy your journal.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.

16. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Free accounts keep the current week of the journal, as described above.

When you ask us to delete your account, your content is deleted. Records we are legally required to keep — payment records in particular — stay with the payment provider under their own retention rules.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Georgia, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to a different forum.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms. Changes are published on this page with a new "last updated" date, and a material change is announced in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version.
